On February 24, 2016 the solemn meeting of the Academic Board of the School of Medicine in occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of E. O. Mukhin was held. Ephraim Osipovich Mukhin is a founder of domestic traumatology, surgeon, anatomist, physiologist, hygienist, Doctor of Medicine and honorable member of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

From February 14th to February 21th, 2016 at University of Kharkiv four students from Poznan (Poland) have been had an internship in the framework of the exchange program of medical students between the public association "Ukrainian Medical Students Association" (UMSA) and Polish non-governmental student organization SASA Foundation. The internship was at the Department of Surgical Diseases, Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy of the School of Medicine at the State Establishment "Institute of General and Emergency Surgery of NAMS of Ukraine" under the leadership of head of department, Doctor of Medicine, Professor I. V. Belozerov.

Teachers of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology attended educational workshops, training of pedagogical skills, master classes and presentations that took place on 26-28 January 2016 at the XIII International Training seminar "Modern pedagogical technologies in education" on the basis of NTU "Kharkov Polytechnic Institute".

On January 28th, 2016 at the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University the distribution of graduates in 2016, who study on the state order, was held. The sessions of a commission was held in the auditorium 2-49 of the main building of the University. The distribution was carried out on the basis of the rating of medical students, which is compiled based on indicators of academic achievement, academic work and public activity.

Students of the School of Medicine together with the teachers of the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University during the Day of Health conducted a training and informative lecture for high school classes of the Kharkiv Gymnasium №169. During the meeting, 5th year students with courses taught in English language demonstrated visial materials, multimedia presentations on healthy lifestyles.
