On March 29, 2019 the training workshop for obstetricians-gynecologists and reproductologists "Actual Guidelines of gynecology, reproductology and obstetrics" was held. Students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Yuliya Zhadan, Taisiia Sazonova, Anastasiya Strizhak, Olexandr Martinchik and Lubov Harchenko took part in this event. The conference reviewed expert modern opinions on topical issues of obstetrics and gynecology, the analysis of clinical protocols, practical skills at workshops and so on.

April 14, 2019

On April 9, 2019, the Council of Young Scientists of School of Medicine participated in the Day of Civil Defense at Kharkiv School No. 28. Representatives of the Departments of Infectious diseases, Immunology and Allergology, Hygiene and Social Medicine and Surgical Diseases, Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomy demonstrated to students and worked with them on the skills of stopping external bleeding, imposing immobilization, first-aid rules for wounds and asphyxia, as well as rules for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The training took place in a friendly atmosphere, which allowed not only to attract the attention of children and to interest them, but also to demonstrate and consolidate the necessary skills in an interactive form.

On April 9, 2019, a seminar-conference “Prevention and control of catheter-associated urinary tract infections” was held at the Kharkiv National Medical University with the participation of specialists from Ukraine, Sweden, Moldova, Lithuania and Georgia.

On April 9-10, 2019 students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part in the II stage of All-Ukrainian Students Olympiad in “Clinical Immunology and Allergology”. According to the results our students demonstrated high level of knowledge and became prize-winners in some nominations.

On April 7, 2019, the traditional Open Day was held at the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Applicants who were interested in obtaining high-quality classical higher medical education visited the School of Medicine.

April 8, 2019

On April 2-3, students of the 3rd and 4th year of the School of Medicine of the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Taisiia Sazonova, Yuliya Zhadan and Veronika Shepel attended the training “HIV Prevention: The Safety Route” as an interactive form of preventing the spread of HIV among young people”. The event was organized by the Office for Family and Youth Affairs of the Department for Family, Youth and Sports of the Kharkiv City Council in cooperation with the German Government Company “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit” (GIZ).

On April 4, 2019 with the support of the Council of Young Scientists of the State Organization "Institute of child and adolescent health care of NAMS of Ukraine" and the Scientific Community of Young Scientists of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, the fourth scientific-practical conference of young scientists on topical issues of pediatrics "Problems of modern times in pediatrics" took place. At the conference the assistants of the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine Avdiievska O. H., Romanova N. H., Ostrovska H. Y. made oral reports and Dudnik I. V. made a poster report.

On April 2, 2019, it was held a regular meeting of the Student Scientific Circle of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology of the School of Meidicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Students Mykyta Yelec’kyj and Illya Henkin presented a paper on the topic “Stem cells and their Use in Modern Medical Practice”. Head of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology, Doctor of Medicine, Full professor O. S. Protsenko, curator of the scientific circle, Candidate of biology, Associate professor V.I. Padalko and 1st-3rd year students of the School of Medicine altogether took part in a lively discussion.

The team of 3rd and 4th year students of the School of Medicine participated in the All-Ukrainian Student Olympics in the professional-oriented discipline "Pathomorphology", which was held at the base of I. Y. Gorbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University (Ternopil) March 28-29, 2019.

N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
