On October 18, 2017, the students of the European Medical Student Association (EMSA) of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University organized and carried out the series of lectures for children of boarding school № 55 (Kharkiv). The series of lectures was devoted to the formation of healthy life skills among children. The students conducted lectures in a playful form, which enabled them to convey information to the children and interest the listeners, as well as to develop the oratorical skills of students who carried out the lectures.The event was attended by students of the School of Medicine of different courses: Kateryna Yeskova, Iryna Oliinyk, Veronika Shepel and Abdel Wahhab Othman.

On October 18, 2017 students and instructors of the School of Medicine took part in the contest "Prayers for Ukraine" (words of O. Y. Konisky, music of M. V. Lysenko), which was organized at Svobody Square in front of the Northern Building of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Participation in the performance of the country's spiritual hymn, music to which was written by the famous student of the University M.V. Lysenko, was accepted by more than 4500 students and instructors of the University, which allowed to include this event in the "Book of Records of Ukraine".

For the next two weeks (October 16, 2017 - October 28, 2017) for the students of the 3rd year Of Russian and Ukrainian-language courses of the School of Medicine at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, a number of seminars related to the licensed integrated exam "KROK-1. General Medicine " will be held. Seminars will be held on the schedule of practical classes in the discipline "Microbiology, Virology and Immunology" (due to the shift in the themes of practical exercises, breaks, etc.) in the auditorium number 596 of Northern Building of the University. The Candidate of Medicine, associate professor of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the School of Medicine, curator for preparation of students of the 3rd course of Russian and Ukrainian-language related to the licensed integrated exam "KROK-1. General medicine", O. P. Kozlov will carry out the seminars.

October 15, 2017

On October 13, 2017, the European Medical Students' Association of the School of Medicine of V. N. Kharkiv National University (EMSA) held a scientific and practical seminar "Mental Health at Workplace" dedicated to the World Mental Health Day. Students-scientists, instructors, doctors-clinicians took part in the seminar. The reports and discussions were aimed at raising awareness about the ways of maintaining mental health at the workplace and the rights of patients with mentally illnesses.

On October 12, 2017 at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University a meeting of students and instructors of the School of Medicine with the Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine O. V. Linchevskyy took place.The meeting was held in a dialogue format, during which the participants had the opportunity to receive answers to questions concerning the educational process and prospects for the development of higher medical education in Ukraine.

On October 6, 2017 on the basis of the Museum of Nature of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University a regular meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology of the School of Medicine took place, in which students of the 2nd and 3rd year took part.

The Teddy Bear Hospital is a project run by the EMSA-Karazin FMO on October 4th, 2017, at intern-school № 55 (Kharkiv, Ukraine), to provide health promotion to children in a fun and interactive way with the aim to overcome any fear or anxieties they may have towards health care professionals.

On September 28, 2017 in Kiev, the National Meeting was held with regional coordinators - deputy heads of structural units on health issues of the regional state administrations, regional pediatricians, immunologists and epidemiologists.The meeting was conducted by specialists of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in conjunction with the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine and the WHO Office in Ukraine. The meeting was devoted to the problem of the prevalence of measles and the development of an action plan of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to organize the preparation and conducting of additional measures to immunize the population against this infection.

Karazin Kharkiv National University have made an excursion to the Botanical Garden with the groups of students they supervise.The excursion consisted of walking at T. G. Shevchenko park and visiting the Botanical Garden of the university.

On September 20, 2017 a meeting-seminar of the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was held at the municipal organization "Sanepidservice" under the guidance of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Kharkiv. The municipal organization "Sanepidservice" is the clinical base for practical classes in hygiene and ecology of students of the 3rd and 6th courses of the School of Medicine of Ukrainian- and English-language form of education.By its structure it is a complex of modern laboratories, where research on drinking water, soil, air, building materials, food products and other environmental objects is carried out in accordance with international standards for sanitary, chemical, radiological and microbiological indicators.
